WARWICK-The Albert Wisner Public Library's annual tax levy and trustee election will be held on Tuesday, April 5, at the library. This is not a vote for funding the construction of a new library, which is expected to come up for a vote no earlier than the fall of 2005. The library is seeking approval for a tax levy of $716,765. The 2005/2006 library tax rates are estimated at $1.98 per $1,0000 for Warwick homeowners, an increase of $0.40; and $0.48 per $1,000 for Chester homeowners in the Warwick Valley Central School District, an increase of $0.11. The election of two library trustees will be on the same ballot. The candidates are current library trustees Anthony Lampazzi and Joan Noonan. The polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Residents of the Warwick Valley Central School District who are registered to vote may participate in the election. Voter registration is held at the School District Office. Absentee Ballots may be requested at the library at least seven days before the election date if the ballot is to be mailed and one day before the election if the ballot is to be picked up by the voter.
