If you love the outdoors, join Warwick Valley High School science teacher and naturalist Ed Sattler rain or shine, for a “no batteries required” introduction to the basics of orienteering. Participants meet in the rear of Veteran’s Memorial Park on Saturday, July 14, for this hands-on program which runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Work with an orienteering compass and learn how to read a map, navigate to a point, determine your location, and navigate safely home. Compasses for use during the program will be provided. Open to adults to young adults entering grade 6 and up. Register for the program by calling Albert Wisner Public Library at 986-1047 ext. 3.
