Library music series continues Friday with a performance of South American music

    Warwick - On Friday, Aug. 12, the Albert Wisner Public Library Foundation will present the South American musical group Espiritu Andino at 7 p.m. This is an outdoor concert on the lawn at the Albert Wisner Public Library located at McFarland Drive in the Village of Warwick. The concert is free and open to the public residing in the Warwick Valley School District. Registration is required for seating indoors in the case of inclement weather. Incan music uses a pentatonic scale, and typical arrangements include a mixture of both indigenous and Spanish-influenced instrumentation, its pulse a distinctive and driving syncopated beat. This performance is made possible by a gift to the AWPL Foundation by Donna Applegate and Jonah Mandelbaum.
