Leo Kaytes Ford donates $10,000 to Winslow Therapeutic Center

Dealership becomes lead sponsor for Oct. 20 fund raiser at Falkirk Farm in Central Valley Warwick - Leo Kaytes Ford will act as a lead sponsor for the Winslow Therapeutic Center’s “Denim, Diamonds & Dreams” gala to be held Oct. 20 at the Falkirk Farm in Central Valley. “Our decision to become a Platinum Sponsor was driven by my parents passion for the miracles that happen at Winslow Therapeutic Center every day,” said Leo R. Kaytes, president of Leo Kaytes Ford. “As parents of five children and grandparents to 16 grandchildren, they are especially sensitive to the needs of the services provided at this premier equine therapeutic center. I have heard my parents say many times that it is well to give when asked but it is better to give when unasked. “ Winslow, which runs an award-winning therapy program at its Warwick-based riding stables, helps children and adults with special needs develop self-esteem and physical confidence through horseback riding. Kaytes recently presented a check for $10,000 on behalf of Leo Kaytes Ford to Christine Tawpash, executive director of Winslow Therapeutic Center. Carla Corts of Falkirk Farm, Lou Marquet, Leyland Alliance vice president, and Olympic Equestrian Champion Todd Minikus also were on hand for the presentation. “Leo Kaytes Ford’s donation will be put to good use,” Tawpash said. “We will be able to provide tuition assistance to children and adults with special needs. Riding horses is a remarkable way to develop physical, cognitive and emotional needs.” Other sponsors for “Denim, Diamonds & Dreams” include Kitchen & Bath Works, TD Bank North, Union State Bank, John M. Hartel & Co. Inc., Provident Bank and Bridlewood Estate Winery. For information on this event, contact Winslow Therapeutic Center 328 Route 17A, Warwick, at 845-986-6686 or online at www.winslow.org.
