Leo Club to sponsor town-wide scavenger hunt for scholarship funds

    WARWICK-The Warwick Leo Club, a youth service organization sponsored by the Warwick Lions Club, is sponsoring a Community Scavenger Hunt to raise money for the Nicholas Villegas and Anthony Quinn Scholarship Funds, in memory of Heidi Villegas, mother of Nicholas, and Anthony Quinn. The scavenger hunt will take place on Saturday, June 12, at the Warwick Community Center, 11 Hamilton Avenue. The hunt starts at 9 a.m. with registration beginning at 8:30. Teams, consisting of one to eight people, can pre-register by mailing in registration forms that can be found at the Albert Wisner Library, Warwick Post Office, and numerous Main Street stores. Registration fee is $10 per person. The hunt concludes at noon. The winning teams will be announced at 1 p.m. and will receive fantastic gift baskets donated by members of the Merchants Guild, and other fabulous prizes will be raffled off. The Warwick Leos' goal is raise $500 for each charity. They also wish to bring families, friends, and businesses together in a fun, safe community activity reminiscent of the "good old days."
