Warwick — On July 31, the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians (LAOH) St. Brigid Division No.3 donated all proceeds from the organization’s recent bake sale to Mother’s Cupboard. The bake sale, held at the Church of St. Stephen, the First Martyr, featured an array of homemade goodies, including the ever-popular Irish soda bread. About $300 was raised. Mothers’ Cupboard is a service ministry at St. Stephen’s which helps foster respect for life by providing spiritual and material aid as well as helpful instruction for new and/or expecting parents. And no needy family is turned away. Diapers, baby wipes and products such as baby shampoo and wash are offered through the generosity of parishioners and donors in the community. The Cupboard is open Monday and Friday mornings as well as Wednesday evenings. The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians welcomes new members.
