Key dates in the Warwick school budget process

Warwick - An upcoming timeline for the Warwick Valley School District’s 2006-2007 budget process includes these key dates: • Jan. 23: Presentation of superintendent’s proposed 2006-2007 budget to the Board of Education. Review of the BOCES budget. • Feb. 27: Board of Education work session. Budget review - instructional programs, curriculum development, computer ed., special ed., psychological services and athletics. Budget review - central services, transportation and operation and maintenance. March 20: Board of Education work session. Board concludes preliminary budget review by reviewing revenue. April 10: The Board of Education adopts the final proposed budget for public vote. May 1: Copies of proposed budget made available to the public at each school building, district offices and the public library. May 8: Budget hearing. May 16: Budget vote.
