Warwick - John Hall, one of a handful of Democratic candidates in New York’s 19th Congressional District, met recently with the Town of Warwick Democratic Committee to discuss issues and to mobilize voters in his effort to to unseat Sue Kelly, the Republican incumbent. Hall spoke to the committee about his plan to “redefine national security” in light of the mounting costs of the war in Iraq, and the recent scandals involving disaster preparedness, lobbying and wiretapping. “I will represent the interests of the people of the 19th on issues of peace and diplomacy, national security, health care, the environment and the economy,“ Hall said. Hall is a former Ulster County legislator, president of the Saugerties School Board, musician and recording artist with the group, Orleans, and environmental activist. His policy platform to “Redefine National Security” can be seen at www.johnhallforcongress.com. He also is scheduled to join the four other Democrats seeking Kelly’s job on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at the Orange County Democratic Committee’s candidate forum at 7:30 p.m. at the Woodbury Activity Center, County Route 105, Highland Mills.
