Superintendent’s community forum rescheduled for Jan. 21 Warwick — The school superintendent’s community forum, originally scheduled for this Saturday, Dec. 17, has been rescheduled for Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012. The Warwick Valley Central School District PTAs will host the forum from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Warwick Valley Middle School. The event will kick-off with keynote speaker Peter Van Buskirk, founder of The Admission Game (TAG). According to the district’s press release announcing the change in date, “economic circumstances, combined with a need for higher educational standards and a move toward 21st century learning, will force difficult decisions to be made about education in the community. The Warwick Valley Central School District needs and values community input as these decisions come to the forefront.” School district residents are invited to join this discussion about what the community values in education, programs the community would like kept intact, the importance of foreign language, math, science and the arts, what the future of education in the district should look like and how best to prepare students for life after school.
