Warwick — Warwick Ice Hockey will be holding a series of on ice and off-ice clinics from May 25 through Aug. 10 at the Ice Time Sports Complex in Newburgh. The clinics are open to novice players who want to learn better skill development, players interested in learning to skate, existing players from both the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams, and players who are intent on making one of the teams. Warwick fields both a junior and a varsity team, that compete in the Hudson Valley High School Ice Hockey Association League. Both teams made the playoffs this past season, and stand a strong chance to win championships in 2006-2007. The varsity team will be led by a group of seniors with potential at the junior level, while the junior varsity team will possess skilled players with more experience, that will allow them to compete at a higher level. Coaches John Hodgson, Tom Sibilla, and Steve Pine have key areas which they intend to focus on in order in 2006-2007. The clinics are open to students in grades 6 through 12.
