Hudsdon Valley Showcase opens
Newburgh - On Saturday, June 24, Newburgh became home to 13,000 square feet of antiques and crafts in the Hudson Valley Showcase, in the former bank building at the corner of Broadway and Route 9W. An array of antiques, art, crafts, and collectables will be on display and for sale, seven days a week. There will be ample parking and a soon-to-be-opened café. Vendors need not be present, as trained and knowledgeable staff will do the selling. Showcase creator Gordon Rauer, who has been an auctioneer, appraiser, collector, and dealer, decided to open the center in the heart of Newburgh. “The renaissance in Newburgh is real,” he said. “With the waterfront development a magnet for residents and tourists, all of Newburgh’s history, culture, and architecture are being more fully appreciated. “And, with easy access to the city, what better place is there to locate this venture?” he added. Dealer space is available. For more information, call 494-1135 or visit gordon@hudsonvalleyantiques.com.
