Hospital receives 18 awards for patient and physician satisfaction
WARWICK n St. Anthony Community Hospital received 18 awards for outstanding ratings in both patient and physician satisfaction from Professional Research Consultants. These awards bring St. Anthony’s total to 45 such awards in the past five years. The hospital was presented with six Patient Perception Achievement Awards for outstanding patient care and customer satisfaction, including four “Top Performer Awards,” which are given to facilities that score at or above the 100th percentile for the Overall Quality of Care, and two “Five Star Awards.” This year the “Top Performer Award” recipients were: Inpatient n Admissions Process; Inpatient n Nurses’ Instructions/Explanations of Treatments/Tests; Inpatient Nurses’ Understanding and Caring and Inpatient n Overall Quality of Nursing Care. “Five Star Award” recipients named were: Inpatient Overall Quality of Care and Maternity GYN for Inpatient n Overall Quality of Care. In addition, St. Anthony Community Hospital also will receive 12 “Medial Staff Perception Awards,” including; two Top Performer Awards n one for Anesthesia Services and the other for Patient Safety and six Five Star Awards for administration; anesthesia services; emergency services; medical records and information; patient safety; and nursing. “These awards are a tribute to the hard work and exceptional teamwork of our employees and volunteers,” said Leah Cerkvenik, the hospital’s executive vice president and administrator. Professional Research Consultants Inc. provides patient satisfaction surveys, community health assessments, and other market research. Last year the company conducted and analyzed 500,000 phone interviews.
