WARWICK n A record amount of money - more than $25,000 - was raised last Saturday evening at the 36th annual St. Anthony Community Hospital Auxiliary June party. The entire proceeds from the “Under the Tent” party have been earmarked this year for the purchase of special equipment for Mount Alverno Center and Schervier Pavilion. The theme of this year’s event was “A Southwestern Fiesta” and although quite a few guests arrived in Mexican or Southwestern garb, most enjoyed the relaxed and fun social event wearing comfortable jeans or other casual clothing. Seating for the June Party was at colorful tables set under the traditional “tent” at Warwick’s picturesque Hickory Hill Golf Course. Guests enjoyed an evening of dining and dancing with two open bars serving wine and beer and bottles of Sangria placed on each table. The June Party also featured a silent auction and a new event for this year, “Buy a Pocketbook,” where guests could purchase pocketbooks containing prizes that could be worth more than the price paid.
