Homecoming weekend

    WARWICK-It's Homecoming Week at Warwick Valley High School. A variety of spirited activities have been going on this week at the high school. Students have been putting together "Board Game" themed class floats at the bus garage for the annual Homecoming Parade which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 2, at noon. Homecoming Advisor Ed McReady said the parade will begin at the school's bus garage, continue down County Route 1 to Route 94, and then travel on Route 94 to Walsh's Restaurant. At this point, students who are walking in the parade will join in. The parade will proceed up Main Street, make a left onto Welling Place and then will stop at the lower parking lot of CVS Pharmacy. Once again, there will be a reviewing stand located in front of the Warwick Valley Telephone Company Building on Main Street for guests and judges. A pep rally is planned for Friday, Oct. 1, at 6 p.m., on the high school football field. The Homecoming football game will kick off at 1:30 p.m. Saturday against the Kingston Tigers. The Homecoming Dance, sponsored by the senior class, will be held in the high school gym from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Homecoming float chairpersons are: 9th grade n Kelly Kettenring, Alison Schell and Juliet Beato; 10th grade - Christine Heflin, Lizzy Stephan and Amanda Torres; 11th grade n Lonni Peterson, Anna Stanhewicz and Haley Rawson; 12th grade n Erica Santiago and Jen Komorowski.
