High School seniors make donations to Africa

Warwick - A month ago, a child in the African village of Awombrew, Ghana, might not have had a school to go to or any means of getting an education. Now, a month later, that same child has a school to attend and a chance to have a better life. On Feb. 19, Anna Singer and a group of other high school seniors called the Youth Mission Ambassadors traveled to Awombrew to deliver supplies donated by the Warwick community. The group was there for 12 days and got to know the villagers pretty well. While the Youth Mission was there, the school they had donated supplies to was completed. They also saw plans for another school along with a library. Henry Steng is a cub reporter for The Warwick Advertiser, covering students and events at Park Avenue Elementary School.
