    WARWICK - Helen K. Rudy, a lifelong resident of the Warwick area, passed away on Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at Schervier Pavilion in Warwick. She was 87. The daughter of the late Henry and Gustina Luft, she was born on Dec. 29, 1917, in Warwick. She married Jacob R. Rudy, who predeceased her in 1959, and later married Ted Lavinski, who also predeceased her. Mrs. Rudy was a member of the Kingdom Hall in New Milford. A family statement reads: "Mom was a devoted mother and grandmother who took great pride in her family. Her passion of cooking was enjoyed by everyone, as well as her keen wit and love for her family. She will be missed by all." She is survived by her six children: Marilyn Rickey of Vernon, N.J.; Barbara Schofield of Greenville; Jacob Roger Rudy of Florida; Gary Rudy of Pine Island; and Brian Rudy and Thomas Rudy of Warwick. She also is survived by her 21 grandchildren and her 14 great grandchildren; her brother, Kenneth Luft, of Warwick; and her sisters Clara Henry of Warwick and Amelia Predmore of Vernon, N.J. She was predeceased by her son, Robert Richard Rudy. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours. Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the family plot in Warwick. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
