Health lectures, piano concert on tap at the Greenwood Lake Public Library this fall

    Greenwood Lake — The Greenwood Lake Public Library continues its Healthy Living series this fall, with educational programs from the experts on a variety of health topics. “Love Your Pharmacist” will be presented Oct. 18 from 7-8:30 p.m. by Arthur Corrado, supervising pharmacist at Price Chopper in Warwick. “Understanding Alzheimer’s Disease” will be presented Nov. 29 from 7-8:30 p.m. by Janet Troia of The Hudson Valley Alzheimer’s Association. “Playing It Safe!” will be presented Dec. 2 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. by Denyse Variano of Cornell Cooperative Extension, who will discuss safe toys for children of different ages. The library is also sponsoring a fall concert series, the Thursday Nite Music Makers. The series begins Oct. 20 from 7-8:30 p.m. with “Peaceful Piano” featuring Pianist Louis Landon, the Steinway Signature Artist with the Landon Music Company. He will perform songs from his albums with a focus on peaceful compositions for solo piano. Both the health lectures and the concert are free but registration is required.
