Head-shaving fundraiser fights children's cancer

    Warwick - Volunteers sponsored by family, friends and coworkers will get their heads shaved at a St. Baldrick’s event on Saturday, Aug. 12 at 4 p.m. at Freddie’s Pub and Restaurant, Spring St., Warwick. The public is invited to participate, sponsor or watch, and help raise money for children’s cancer research. The mission of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation is to raise awareness and funds to conquer children’s cancer by shaving heads on St. Baldrick’s Day.
