Hare Raisers bugged to do entomology

Chester The Orange County Hare Raisers 4-H Club decided to learn about more than rabbits or guinea pigs this year. They are doing a project in entomology, which is the study of insects. On a recent fall day, a group of club members went for a walk in Goose Pond Mountain State Park in Chester to collect specimens. They found all kinds of insects ranging from butterflies to common house flies. Next summer they will each enter an insect display in the Orange County Fair for the public to see. This project is being led by Theresa and Mike Mallon of Chester, who are parents of two club members and science teachers also. The members had a great time.
