Halloween parades set for Sunday

    WARWICK-Halloween parades are scheduled Sunday in the villages of Warwick and Florida. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4662 in Warwick will sponsor the annual Halloween parade and party on Sunday, Oct. 31, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The marchers begin at the Railroad Green and go up to the corner where Jackie's Deli is located and head down to the community center on Hamilton Avenue. Refreshments will be served and prizes awarded for costumes. Afterward, many children will go trick-or-treating in the surrounding neighborhood. In Florida, Halloween activites begin with line up at 5:30 at the Florida Fire Department and the parade starting at 6. Costume judging and refreshment will begin immediate after the parade. The event is sponsored by the Florida Fire Department and Rescue Squad in conjunction with the Village of Florida
