Halloween on parade Tuesday in Florida and Warwick

    Halloween parades, with prizes awarded for best costumes, will be held late Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 31, in both the Village of Florida and the Village of Warwick: • The Florida Fire Department and Rescue Squad, in conjunction with the Village of Florida, hosts its annual Halloween parade and costume contest, starting at 6 p.m. at the Florida Fire House. Costume judging will begin and refreshments served immediately after the parade. • The Veterans Of Foreign Wars post 4662 are sponsoring this year’s annual Halloween parade in Warwick, which begins at 5 p.m. at the Village Green on Railroad Avenue and will end at the Doc Fry Community Center. Prizes will be awarded in three age groups (0-5, 6-10 and 11-15 years old) to the best costume in each of three categories: Scariest, most glamorous and most original/ Refreshments will be served at the completion of the parade.
