Halloween in Warwick

WARWICK - On an unseasonably mild Tuesday evening, Oct. 31, ghosts, witches, cartoon characters and pumpkins assembled at the Village Green on Railroad Avenue. It was Warwick’s annual “Halloween Parade” and as darkness fell, the colorful contingent of both parents and children headed up Oakland Avenue. They proceeded down Orchard Street toward the Warwick Community Center where they were served refreshments and judged for best and most original costumes. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4662 sponsored this year’s event. American Legion Post 214 will host the parade next year and on alternate years thereafter.
