Valhalla — Hailey’s Hope Foundation is sponsoring two kitchens through a $20,000 donation to the new Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley (GHV), located on the grounds of Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. The Ronald McDonald House provides a “home away from home” for families with seriously ill babies and children who travel far distances for treatments in hospitals. This house will serve many NICU families with babies as well as others hospitalized at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. The foundation’s donation built and outfitted the two kitchens in the new house for families to make their own meals, eat together and interact with other families. Hailey’s Hope Foundation strives to lessen the burdens NICU families face with frequent and lengthy hospital stays. “These kitchens will have a profound and positive impact on NICU families for many years,” said Donna Zion, Hailey’s Hope Foundation vice president.
