Greenwood Lake woman charged with failing to feed dog

Greenwood Lake - The Orange County Sheriff’s Office charged a Greenwood Lake woman with starving her nine-year old Saint Bernard mix to death. According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, Mary Ann Adams, 33, was arrested Friday, March 30, on a charge of failing to provide sustenance to an animal under the Agriculture and Markets law. The charge is a class A misdemeanor. Investigator David Ayers conducted the investigation leading to the arrest. The Sheriff’s Office said the animal was found in an outside pen, frozen and weighing less than 30 pounds. Adams was arraigned before Warwick Town Justice Peter Bartlet and released on her own recognizance with a return court date of April 17.
