Greenwood Lake firefighting service awards

During the Greenwood Lake Fire Department’s annual dinner dance on Jan. 27 at the Inn at Central Valley, Fire Chief John Rader (top,second from left) presented 20-year membership plaques to Al Nicholas, president; Pete DeVries; and Dan O’Donnell. The chief also presented pajama bottoms (bottom) to three young members of the department who always show up in any kind of weather - 10 degrees cold or in hot July - to wear under their bunker pants in appreciation of their service and quick response time.
