Greenwood Lake — Seven Village of Greenwood Lake residents are vying for two trustee seats this March 21 election day. Incumbents George Kluwe and Agnes Kilduff are seeking their second and third two-year terms, respectively. The field of challengers includes two former trustees looking to return to the board. Annmarie Van Doran Sabarese lost her seat last year. Jan Greenfield, who had served two terms on the board, has thrown his hat into the ring as well. Adam Filipowski is giving it another try. Filipowski ran unsuccessfully last year. Newcomers Brian Fisher, who is a member of the Town of Warwick Planning Board, and Michael “Mickey Peppers” Riccardo round out the crowded field. There are approximately 1,600 registered voters in the Village of Greenwood Lake. Voters may register for this election up until March 10 at the Orange County Board of Elections in Goshen. Absentee ballot applications are available in the Village Clerk’s office. The election hours are from noon to 9 p.m. at the Senior Center on Windemere Avenue.
