Graduations, dean's listings and other college news
Here’s the latest on students from the area and their successes at college: Graduations The following students from the Orange County have received their undergraduate degree from The University of Scranton: Nicholas J. Connolly, Warwick, Bachelor of Science, Finance, Honors Program Kristen, DiGiacomo, Warwick, Bachelor of Science, Occupational Therapy Johanna C. Yungman, Warwick, Bachelor of Science, Counseling and Human Services Kelly Anne Browne of Chester received a Bachelor of Science in International Relations from the School of Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University in South Orange, N.J. Kristin Marie DeFini of Warwick received her Bachelor of Art degree in Education (a major in History and minor in Psychology) from Mount Saint Mary in Newburgh. Rich Strangfeld of Sugar Loaf graduated from Centenary College in Hackettstown, N.J. with Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration Management. Christiana E. Yount of Warwick received her Bachelor of Art degree in physical education at Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. She also was named to the college’s dean’s list for the 2007 spring semester. In order to qualify, students must obtain a GPA of at least 3.6. Deans’ lists Two Warwick residents have recently been named to the dean’s list at Boston University for the Spring semester. Students recognized for this honor include: Christopher S. Anderson Samantha E. Lupinetti Elyse M. Merlo of Chester, majoring in English, was named to the dean’s list at Northeastern University in Boston. The following local residents have been named to the dean’s list at Binghamton University for the fall 2006 semester from the Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science: Matthew A. Giliotti, of Warwick James E. Warner, of Warwick Megan Metzeger of Warwick has been named to the dean’s list at the College of The Holy Cross in Worchester, Mass., for the second semester of the 2006-2007 academic year. The following students from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University were named to the Dean’s list for the Spring 2007 semester. Jocelyn Lederman, Warwick, general studies in management Zachary Morris, Warwick, finance and marketing management April Quigley, Warwick, marketing and supply chain management Lauren Solomon, Warwick, marketing management In order to qualify, students must achieve a GPA of 3.4 or higher during the semester. Honors and awards Keenan Hanson, a senior biomedical arts major at Alfred University, participated in its annual research forum this spring.
