Village of Warwick Mayor Michael Newhard and state Assemblywoman Annie Rabbitt pose in front of the new iron fence in the South Street parking lot, the latest improvement in this much-traveled thoroughfare. A new bridge was installed a few years ago and new curbing and electrical work were recently completed. The village also intends to resurface the parking lot. Rabbitt, a former Warwick town councilwoman, secured a $10,000 grant for the fence. “We budgeted for this but the grant definitely helps us out,” Newhard said. Rabbitt responded in kind: “The village looks great. You have done a wonderful job. People in other villages look to Warwick as a model.” (Photo by Linda Smith Hancharick)
