Martha Sullivan and students from the third-grade at Golden Hill Elementary School count money donated for the Katrina Relief Fund. The students raised money in a variety of ways. One child earned money by watching a younger sibling and then brought it to school for a donation. Other children sold lemonade and then donated their profits. Students even gave up their allowances. The effort included students, faculty and staff who raised $550. The money was sent to the American Red Cross to assist in Hurricane relief efforts in Louisiana, Mississippi and other southern states.
