Warwick — Members of the Warwick Valley Gardeners’ “Seeds of Hope” Team participated in the recent Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets in Central Valley. They have raised $3,800 so far with money still coming in to their site. They walked for members of the club who have experience breast cancer and for all of those who are survivors, under treatment and those who have been taken by this disease. The group’s motto for the occasion: “As gardeners, we plant seeds. Nurture them and watch them grow in beautiful plants. As members of Seeds of Hope we offer hope for a cure.” The Warwick ShopRite provided pink carnations for the team that were distributed to women wearing “Survivor” shirts.
