Gallagher and Schoepfer receive hospital's dedicated service' awards

Warwick - Julie Gallagher, chief hospital laboratory medical technologist, and Susan Ann Schoepfer, lead dietary aide, received 2006 Bon Secours “Dedicated Service” award during a ceremonies held last month. They were among the 12 employees at the Warwick Health Care Campus nominated by their peers at St. Anthony Community Hospital, Mt. Alverno Center and Schervier Pavilion in Warwick to receive the award. Also nominated were: Renee Allen, Schervier Pavilion nursing department; Fred Bohn, St. Anthony Community Hospital radiology department; Kathleen Caldwell, hospital nursing; Joie Ogrodnick, hospital patient advocacy; Maribell Ortiz, hospital housekeeping; Ellen Reber, hospital nursing; Maribella Santiago, Schervier Pavilion finance department; Heike Schroback, emergency department; Mary Pat Swenson, hospital nursing; and Petra Zavattoro, hospital laboratory. Each year the award is presented to employees who demonstrate: A strong commitment to the Bon Secours values of justice, respect, dignity, integrity, quality, compassion, innovation, stewardship and growth; support and contribute to the mission of Bon Secours; complete major accomplishments in job performance; undertake extra measure activities; demonstrated commitment to improving work methods and procedures; commitment to peer and personal development; peer acceptance; civic contribution; consistent work performance; and years of service. This year’s recipients also were honored at a national system wide reception held in Baltimore Maryland, near the Bon Secours Health System Inc. headquarters. “We congratulate Julie Gallagher and Susan Ann Schoepfer, our Warwick Health Care Campus DSA Award recipients, and we thank them for their years of dedication and hard work on behalf of our patients, residents and community,” said Leah Cerkvenik, executive vice president and administrator.
