Gail Lordy, a certified health counselor and Reiki master joins Sports, Fitness and Fun staff

Florida — Gail Lordy, a certified health counselor and Reiki master, has joined the staff at Sports, Fitness and Fun in the Village of Florida. Lordy (formerly Gail Cosimano) received her training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City and is certified by Columbia University. Some of her guest teachers and mentors include Dr. Mehmet Oz MD, Dr, Andrew Weil, Deepok Chopra and Dr. Neil Barnard. Lordy’s lifelong interest in the relationship of food and good health led her to the career of health counseling. In the new position at Sports, Fitness and Fun, Lordy will offer individual health and nutrition counseling to men, women and children. The new six month program will help each client find balance within their life. “In this fast food world, where obesity and heart disease are on the rise, Sports, Fitness and Fun has taken on a challenge to help our community and members learn more about healthy nutritional choices,” General Manager Roberta Fordham said in a press release announcing Lordy’s hiring. “After all, we are what we eat.” Sports, Fitness and Fun is a 41,000-square-foot facility offering adult and youth programs including full service health club with classes, state of the art cardio and weight machines, gymnastics training facility, martial arts instruction, kids camp programs, fencing and an on-site cafe.
