Fundraising professionals organize in Mid-Hudson Valley
Poughkeepsie The Mid-Hudson Chapter of the International Association of Fundraising Professionals will holding its inaugural event at 6 p.m. on Sept. 26 at the Grandview. The keynote speaker will be Pat A. Moran, Certified Fund Raising Executive and President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater New York Chapter. This networking event will be an opportunity to learn about the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the benefits it offers to the philanthropic and non-profit community. AFP advances and promotes philanthropy through education, training and advocacy based on research, a code of ethics and standards of professional practice. As the only association representing the entire fundraising profession, it is dedicated to ensuring that its members have the necessary skills, knowledge and resources to do their job effectively.
