WARWICK — It’s all part of downtown Warwick’s scheduled entertainment during the annual celebration of “Home for the Holidays.” On Saturday, Nov. 26, Sean Giery and his team of Percherons, Mabel and The Colonel, were back in the Village of Warwick offering free horse and wagon rides courtesy of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce and participating businesses. By popular demand this year’s schedule has also been extended. Giery will return for an encore this Saturday, Dec. 3, and Sunday, Dec. 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Additional free horse and wagon rides are also scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 11, and Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 17 and 18. Anyone wishing to take a spin around the village at turn-of-the- last century speeds should line up on Railroad Avenue. The waiting time is usually short. In addition to the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce, the participating business sponsors for this year’s free wagon rides include Price Chopper, WVT Communications, Style Counsel, Blarney Station, The Computer Guy, Edward Rossi, MD, Sicksitters, Fetch, Yesterdays, Jean-Claude Patisserie, Peck’s Wines and Spirits, Frazzleberries, Eclectic Eye Antiques and Giant Copy Shop. Giery’s company, Dun Dreaming, in Cambell Hall, also offers horse and sleigh rides throughout the season. For information call 845-742-9816.
