Frederick Mills hired as assistant VP for at Walden Savings Bank

MONTGOMERY — Walden Savings Bank has selected Frederick H. Mills as assistant vice president - commercial lending. Mills has gained a wide variety of skills in his more than 20 years as a banker in the Hudson Valley and Buffalo. Most recently, he was assistant vice president, community business loan officer, for Provident Bank in Middletown. At Provident Bank in Suffern, he was assistant vice president, commercial loan officer, from 2008 to 2011, and assistant vice president, senior underwriter, in 2008. “Fred knows the challenges of small businesses and middle market companies and has expertise in business development,” President and CEO Derrik R. Wynkoop said in the press release announcing Mills’ appointment. “We are very happy to have Fred become part of Walden Savings Bank.” Mills was awarded the Forty Under Forty - Hudson Valley’s Shaker Award from the Southern Dutchess Chamber of Commerce in 2007 and the Forty Under Forty - Rising Stars Award from the Orange County Chamber of Commerce in 2008. He is a member of the 2012 Leadership Orange Class and is a past president and current member of the Newburgh Rotary Club. Mills lives in Fishkill with his wife and three children.
