Four killed in Thruway crash

HARRIMAN - Four people were killed in a crash on the New York State Thruway in Orange County on Tuesday afternoon when a tractor trailer lost control and struck a Range Rover. The dead included a Rochester couple, 35-year-old Nabi Magomedov and 32-year-old Natlia Magomedov, and their 3-year-old son Amir. State police said they died instantly. The 63-year-old truck driver from Long Island, Andrew McKiver, later died at Westchester Medical Center.The crash occurred around 12:45 p.m. just south of the Harriman exit. Police said the tractor trailer lost control and rode atop the guardrail for about 100 yards before crossing into the northbound lanes and hitting the Range Rover head-on.
