Former Warwickian shows sculpture in major Florida exhibition

Boynton Beach, Fla. - A 300-pound metal sculpture created by Claudia Jane Klein of Lake Worth will be on display for the rest of the year with work by four other sculptors in an outdoor exhibition in Boynton Beach, Fla. The latest work, titled “Eve,” carries on the originality and depth of previous large sculptures she has created. Her huge steel mermaid, facing the ocean, welcomes visitors to Lake Worth and the Palm Beach area. Formerly of Warwick, N.Y., Klein has created dozens of prize-winning sculptures and oil paintings, many on public exhibit and in private collections around the United States. A graduate of Warwick Valley High School and Metropolitan College in Denver, she previously founded and operated her own business, designing and manufacturing women’s clothing sold in major stores around the country including Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s. The Boynton Beach exhibition has been named “Avenue of the Arts,” with the art placed to allow visitors to browse as long as they want to enjoy each of the exhibits.
