For the herb enthusiast

Sugar Loaf Spring is here, and Sugar Loaf Mountain Herbs is celebrating its one year anniversary this month. Owners Gene and Alicia Frosini have been in the greenhouses, growing herbs and flowers for many garden centers in the tri-state area, as well as for their new retail shop in Sugar Loaf. “There has been a great response,” noted Alicia, “not only is everyone excited about the herbs and flowers, but also with the large selection of herbal teas and the new therapeutic herbal blends as well.”In the tiny shop, customers can get personal service, custom gift baskets, and herbs and spices. New seasonal fare, from potpourri to the dried floral arrangements, complements the relaxed atmosphere. Monthly workshops have offered herb enthusiasts a chance to share their passion of herbs with one another. Perennial herbs and flowers are now arriving in the shop, and by late April, they will be in full swing with the annual plants as well.
