Florida wants to start Kiwanis chapter
FloridA Several residents and business owners in the Village of Florida want to establish a Kiwanis Club in their area, according to Chuck Kroqslund, lieutenant governor of the Hudson River West Division of Kiwanis. Past lieutenant governor E.J. Szulwach has volunteered to organize a core group of Kiwanians from Chester, Middletown, and Minisink who will help organize a club in Florida. A representative from Kiwanis International will assist the local Kiwanians. The Kiwanis Club is a volunteer organization that addresses the community’s needs, with a special focus on helping children, the elderly, and those in need. The Kiwanis mission statement is: “Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.” For more information call Krogslund at 386-1866 or E.J. Szulwach at 469-4158.
