| 28 Sep 2011 | 03:03

Florida - Patrons of Florida Public Library have contributed numerous knitted squares as part of the Linus Project. The 4” x 4” squares of many colors will be incorporated into blankets to be assembled and distributed to children in need. The mission of this 100 percent volunteer effort is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need. People interested in joining in this service project may contact Julia Sullivan at 845-692-2536. The library still has a large supply of free yarn for knitters young and old who want to help out. Contact the library at 845-651-7659.
