Florida Post #1250 will host Memorial Day services

    Florida - The American Legion Post #1250 of Florida will conduct annual Memorial Day services on Monday, May 28. Post Commander Jim Sosler invite all United States Military veterans to join in the ceremonies. “Whether you served during times of conflict, war, or peace n we appreciate you - and would be honored if you would walk with us,” Sosler said. Services will begin at noon with a mass at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Union Corners Road, followed by a service at the adjacent Jewish Cemetery. Activities will then move to the Village of Florida where at 2 p.m. the parade will begin from the Village Hall through the Village of Florida, turning around at Route 94 and proceeding back through the village with a stop at the Florida Veteran’s Memorial for a wreath placement. The parade will proceed to the Florida Cemetery on Bridge Street where the final services will be conducted.
