Goshen Sergeant Tamara Dreyer has been appointed to the rank of lieutenant, Orange County Sheriff Carl E. DuBois announced recently. Dreyer is a 13-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office and the first female lieutenant in the history of the office’s police division. She began her career in May 1994 as a deputy sheriff and was promoted to sergeant in February 2005. “In my five years as Orange County Sheriff, Lieutenant Dreyer has consistently gone the extra mile to assist in the tasks and accomplishments of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and is an exemplary supervisor,” Sheriff DuBois said. “She is an example to be followed and a welcome addition to command staff.”
