First rescue of year a unique find

The first non-canine, non-feline rescue of the New Year for the Warwick Valley Humane Society was Kellogg, described by the folks at the Warwick Humane Society as “an extremely handsome rooster, despite missing his comb and wattle, whose owner moved away without him.” The Humane Society received a call from a resident in Warwick about an abandoned rooster on their property, perched in one of their pine trees for several days. Animal Control Officers Tony D’Esopo and Tim Adams responded and gently “plucked” the rooster from its perch and brought him back to the shelter where he waits for his forever roost.
