First annual child safety and protection event a success

WARWICK - The first annual Child Safety and Protection Event, sponsored by New York Life Insurance and held at Railroad Green, resulted in an excellent turnout of concerned parents and children, according to company representative Matt Sullivan. Local fire and police departments along with the Boy Scouts and other organizations also participated and there was free food and refreshments courtesy of Grappa Market. Approximately 60 children, accompanied by their parents, received a complimentary Identification Card, complete with photograph and fingerprints. During the day children were invited to help paint a safety theme mural created by local artists Mark Stankiewicz and his wife, Samantha, owners of wecreatemurals.com Groups that are interested in participating next year should contact Matt Sullivan at 845-239-1304.
