Five fire companies were needed to put out a blaze at 137 Glenmere Homesites Road in Florida last week. According to Florida Fire Chief Michael Coleman, his company responded to a call around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9, and fought the fire until 4 a.m. The home was engulfed when they arrived and help was needed from Warwick, Pine Island, Chester and Goshen fire companies. No one was hurt in the blaze, including the five men who lived in the house. They were awake at the time of the fire, which was caused by a dryer. The house was destroyed. (Photos by Thom Cronin)
