Facelift and renovations underway at St. Joseph School
Florida - A group of anonymous donors arranged the refurbishing of St. Joseph School this past summer with an exterior paint job, new columns at the entry ways and two new classrooms. Built in the early 1900s, the building still maintains its charm of yesteryear. The school community is sincerely grateful to all those who contributed to this project and insured its completion before the children returned in September. What made this summer project particularly noteworthy is two of the painters are alumni of St. Joseph School. Robert McCaffrey, class of 1989, and owner of Finishing Touch Painting, was happy to help out. “It gave us a chance to give back what we got from St. Joseph,” said McCaffrey. “I have very positive memories of this school.” The other alumni who put in hours of painting was Robert Buchalski, class of 1991. Alistair McLean of McLean Painting, Jamie Buchalski and Norman Paulson also worked on the school. Gervic Paint, Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore corporations donated the paint. The new kindergarten and nursery school classrooms are bright, cheerful and spacious. “I love it!” said kindergarten teacher Diane Morgiewicz. “It’s a great size for my class. I couldn’t be happier!”
