Newburgh — The 13th annual Love-Gently Dinner, hosted and co-sponsored by Painter’s Cornwall-on-Hudson, attracted a familiar crowd of local celebrity waiters and friends of Safe Homes of Orange County. This year’s event raised $4,500 for the agency’s teen-dating violence prevention program. “This is simply one of our favorite events of the year,” said Michele McKeon, Safe Homes’ executive director. “Not only do we gather to raise money for a great cause, we thoroughly enjoy the hospitality of Painter’s Tavern, and a relaxed, casual night with friends and supporters of Safe Homes. We look forward to it all year long.” Celebrity waitstaff included Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Mayor Edward Moulton; Cornwall Town Supervisor Richard Randazzo; Orange County Sheriff Carl DuBois; Christine Krahulik, Orange County Family Court; and Times Herald-Record reporter Oliver Mackson, among others. Safe Homes offers comprehensive support services for individuals affected and displaced by domestic violence, as well as education and prevention programs.
