Goshen — LAM Lighting and Design on Route 17M will hold the second of two “Energy Savings Seminars” at its Goshen showroom on Saturday, May 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. “Energy Star compact fluorescent light bulbs use 75 percent less energy, produce 75 percent less heat, and last up to 10 times longer than incandescent light bulbs,” said Ellen Villamil, LAM Lighting and Design owner. “We’re excited to show our customers how they can save energy with the lighting in their homes.” Joseph Ramos of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) will be the featured speaker. Ramos will discuss the new Energy Star lighting fixtures available for home and how to save energy and money in with existing fixtures by using compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs). He will also summarize the other New York energy programs sponsored by NYSERDA. To commemorate the event, customers will receive a free four pack of CFL bulbs for all purchases over $100, 15 off storewide and 25 percent off all Energy Star products through May 21. Light refreshments will also be served. For more information contact Sue Mastromatteo at 294-5469; e-mail to sue@lamlight.com or visit www.lamlight.com.
