Warwick — Tuesday is Election Day in the three villages within the Town of Warwick. In the Village of Warwick, Mayor Michael Newhard will run unopposed, while incumbent Trustees George W. McManus and Stephen L. Pascal and challenger Eileen Patterson will face off for two trustee seats. The mayor’s job has an annual salary of $25,995. Trustees are paid $6,097.50. All are four-year terms. Voting in the Village of Warwick takes place at the Goodwill Hook and Ladder Company on Church Street Extension from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. (The three candidates for trustee answer the Warwick Advertiser’s questions in a Q&A that appears on page 16.) Greenwood Lake The field is a bit more crowded in the Village of Greenwood Lake as seven residents are vying for two trustee seats Tuesday. Incumbents George Kluwe and Agnes Kilduff are seeking their second and third terms, respectively. The field of challengers includes former trustees Annmarie Van Doran Sabarese, who lost her seat last year, and Jan Greenfield, who had served two terms on the board previously. Adam Filipowski, Brian Fisher and Michael “Mickey Peppers” Riccardo round out the field for these two-year term positions. There are approximately 1,600 registered voters in the Village of Greenwood Lake. The yearly salary for a trustee is $3,600. The election hours in Greenwood Lake are from noon to 9 p.m. at the Senior Center on Windemere Avenue. Florida Two-term Village of Florida Mayor James Pawliczek faces off Tuesday against political newcomer Edward Mythen. Pawliczek pulled off a stunning defeat in 2002 to unseat 28-year mayor John “Jake” Harter. He had an easier time of it two years ago when he defeated village Trustee Joe Coleman. Trustees Thomas Fuller and Thomas Chevrier are seeking reelection and face no opposition. Fuller is looking for his third term, while Chevrier is seeking his second. Each of the positions is a two-year term. The mayor’s job pays $6,000 per year; trustees are paid $3,000. The election will be held at the Senior Center behind Village Hall on Cohen Circle from noon until 9 p.m.
