There may have been an even bigger crowd on Saturday evening, July 20.

But due to the extraordinary high temperatures predicted for that evening, the planned E'lissa Jones Band concert was postponed until Wednesday evening, July 24.

"Stay cool everyone," Jones said. "See you Wednesday."

And that weekday evening an audience, estimated to be well over 600 fans, filled Railroad Green and the adjacent street and sidewalk area.

"This is one of the most popular events of our free summer series concerts," said Event Chair Bill Iurato. "And it always draws a huge crowd."

The E'lissa Jones Band concert is just one in a series of 18 free summer concerts provided by the Village of Warwick.

Jones, songwriter, violinist, pianist and guitarist, wowed her audience with many of her signature songs from her CDs as well as new arrangements.

Upcoming shows

She is also scheduled to appear this summer at the Albert Wisner Library on Friday evening, Aug. 23, and for the Warwick Historical Society Party in the Park on Saturday evening, Aug. 24.
